SIMONE DANIELLE
About Me
My name is Simone Danielle. Originally from Shelby, North Carolina and reside in sunny Florida! In the day (and sometimes nights) I am a labor organizer helping working people build power in their workplace and communities. By night (and sometimes the day) I am a visual artist who creates acrylic paintings, clay sculptures, drawings, watercolor, paper art and small instillations.

On a journey to self discovery, painting became the very thing that helped me express how I felt and explained the worlds around me. It has also turned into a healing mechanism.

Women are centered in most of my work. Women, growing up, represented safety. Now, with my art, I honor women, lift them up, because growing up the women in my life never got what they were due. Respect. Admiration. Honor. Love.
